Iraq is undertaking a major transformation of its electricity sector. The government has signed strategic agreements with international companies to produce more than 60 GW of electricity, according to Electricity Minister Ziyad Ali Fadel. Simultaneously, a fast-track solar program plans to deploy smart solutions across more than 120 identified sites nationwide. These projects aim to strengthen supply ahead of the summer peak period.
