The site visit was in September 2022 before a second visit this month. The calculation of the resources is thus in progress. Ali Haji is the CEO and director of ION Energ, says:

“The progress made on site at Urgakh Naran continues to be very encouraging. Being able to report on lithology that is indicative of permeability, further validates the low resistivity zones identified by the TEM conducted this summer. We continue to advance the asset at full speed.”

Increased demand for lithium

At Urgakh Naran, ION Energy’s drilling efforts are making steady progress. The objective is to complete the wells. Thus, these efforts allow the company to make progress in resource calculations.

ION Energy is committed to exploring and developing the lithium salars of Mongolia. His flagship project is Baavhai Uul Lithieum. Covering an area of more than 81,000 hectares, ION holds an exploration permit for the lithium brine site in Mongolia.

Kenya: recurring power cuts disrupt daily life

Kenya was plunged into darkness following a massive power failure exacerbated by torrential rains causing devastating floods. This critical situation highlights the vulnerabilities of an infrastructure already weakened by extreme weather conditions, while the main electricity supplier, Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC), is working to restore power.

Energy prices expected to fall in 2024, despite a global rise

By 2024, electricity and gas prices in France are set to fall, thanks to recent government reforms and market adjustments. However, they will remain above the pre-crisis levels of 2021-2022, highlighting the persistent challenges and strategies needed to stabilize the energy sector in a post-crisis context.
