In the Netherlands, AMPYR Solar Europe (ASE) announces the acquisition of the solar business of SolarEnergyWorks (SEW).
Multiple investments
In the Netherlands, ASE is acquiring a portfolio of 100MWp of ready-to-build assets and 650MWp of assets under development. In addition, the company has a highly experienced team of 15 professionals. As a result, the company now has a solar asset development pipeline of over 1GWp in the country.
ASE also has an aggregated development pipeline of 6GWp in countries such asGermany and the UK. Thus, the company seeks to complement its activity on the Dutch market. Alexander Koeman, managing director of AMPYR Solar Europe Netherlands, says:
“SEW has successfully built a portfolio of high-quality solar power generation assets across the Netherlands, so we are delighted to have completed this acquisition. The acquisition of SEW complements our existing Dutch business very well and will help accelerate our long-term plans in terms of portfolio growth, adding talent, local presence and transitioning to renewable energy in general.”
Continuous growth
These holdings allow AMPYR Solar Europe to be an independent solar power producer (IPP) in Europe. ASE continues to look for high quality assets and teams. In addition, the acquisition accelerates the company’s plan to deploy significant capital in this sector in the near term.
ASE, now plans to increase its staff to 22 people in the Netherlands. In addition, the company hopes to deploy a new office in the city of Utrecht. In total, the company has about 60 employees in the UK, the Netherlands and Germany.
