In Cikande Mowilex announces an investment to supply its headquarters with renewable solar energy. The company also plans to install panels at its Cikande plant. In addition, the company plans to eventually equip all its operational facilities with solar panels.
A solar awning in the parking lot of Mowilex headquarters captures sunlight and shades cars. The system produces the maximum amount of energy allowed by current state utility regulations. The facility will reduce Mowilex’s carbon emissions at this site by 30%.
With the deployment of solar energy in Cikande, Mowilex reinforces its commitment to carbon neutrality. The carbon neutral paint company received its first CarbonNeutral certification four years ago. The solar project in Cikande further reduces emissions while supporting two national goals.
Supporting decarbonization
Indeed,Indonesia aims to use 25% renewable energy by 2030. In addition, the country is targeting zero net carbon emissions by 2060. The company was presenting its solar installation on the sidelines of the G20 2022 Leaders’ Summit in Bali.
