International solar developer ib vogt achieves PAC Certification for its 40MWp solar project in Ziębice, Poland. The project, which began supplying clean solar power to the grid in December 2023, has passed all the tests and requirements necessary to enter full operation and reach this crucial milestone. This Ziębice project is ib vogt’s second in Poland after the Zamość project in 2022, bringing the country’s total portfolio to 175MWp.
Technical features and environmental impact
Located in the Lower Silesia region, in the Ząbkowice district, the Ziębice solar farm covers 30 hectares of land. The project uses state-of-the-art bifacial modules on a south-facing substructure with a fixed inclination. With an average annual production of 43GWh, the project generates enough energy to meet the average consumption of around 19,000 homes. In addition, the project will reduce CO2 emissions by over 28,000 tonnes per year.
Safety and environmental measures
In addition to comprehensive environmental measures around the project, ib vogt placed a strong emphasis on health and safety practices, including on-site training with the National Fire Brigade. Anton Milner, CEO of ib vogt, said:
“Poland aims to reach 29GW of installed solar capacity by 2030 and we are proud to contribute to the expansion of renewable energy in the country. We would like to congratulate all parties involved and thank our partners for their excellent work.”
The Ziębice project marks another milestone in ib vogt’s extensive pipeline of projects in Central and Eastern Europe.
