Energy storage system manufacturer HiTHIUM has signed a 2GWh master supply agreement with integrator Solarpro to support the development of large-scale energy storage projects in Eastern Europe. The partnership will cover several markets, including Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and North Macedonia, amid a regional surge in renewable energy deployment.
Strengthened partnership amid growing demand
HiTHIUM will deliver its 6.25MWh battery systems from the ∞Power product line, featuring 1175Ah and 587Ah cells designed for long-duration applications. These units will be used exclusively in industrial-scale installations integrated by Solarpro, one of Europe’s leading companies in the design and execution of photovoltaic and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.
The agreement extends an existing cooperation between the two companies. They have already successfully completed several projects in Bulgaria and Hungary, commissioned in 2024 and 2025. These installations have enabled field testing of long-duration storage solutions under advanced operating conditions, with HiTHIUM providing full lifecycle technical support.
Addressing regional power grid challenges
The deal comes as Eastern European power markets face high intraday volatility driven by increasing renewable output. Long-duration storage systems help stabilise production, balance the grid and make renewable capacity more predictable and dispatchable.
Solarpro’s integration capability, combined with HiTHIUM’s technical expertise, is intended to meet these challenges. Both firms are adopting an industrial approach to storage, seen as key to supporting local electricity systems as they shift toward more flexible and resilient models.
Expanding industrial presence across Europe
HiTHIUM has reinforced its footprint across the continent by deploying logistics infrastructure, partner warehouses and dedicated technical teams in several countries. The company now offers full-process support, including project planning, management, supply chain coordination and local after-sales service.
Based on its three strategic pillars — innovation, service and safety — HiTHIUM ranked as the world’s second-largest energy storage provider in the first half of 2025. The new agreement with Solarpro reflects this momentum, boosting its visibility and market share in a rapidly transforming sector.
