NORWALK, Conn., October 2, 2024 – GameChange Solar, a leading global supplier of solar tracking solutions for ground-mounted PV plants, has surpassed 10 GW of solar projects awarded in India thanks to its state-of-the-art Genius Tracker™ solar tracking system. This milestone highlights GameChange Solar’s leadership in providing robust and efficient solar solutions for large-scale projects across India.

The company has been awarded over 4.7 GW of tracker systems in Gujarat and 2.3 GW in Rajasthan, with the remaining projects located in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Tamil Nadu. Six of the 42 projects using high-performance Genius Tracker systems exceed 500 MW, with two surpassing 750 MW, demonstrating the scalability and flexibility of GameChange Solar’s advanced tracking solutions.

Expansion and Rapid Growth

GameChange Solar’s rapid growth in India is attributed to significant repeat business from the majority of its customers in the region. This underscores the trust and satisfaction that project developers and EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) have in the company’s solutions. Additionally, GameChange Solar has expanded its warranty and service support to ensure high uptime for its existing fleet, reinforcing its commitment to long-term operational performance.

To further meet growing demand and shorten project completion timelines, GameChange Solar has ramped up its local manufacturing capacity of critical components in India. This local production capability allows the company to deliver high-quality products on shorter schedules, an essential factor in supporting the rapid expansion of solar energy across the country.

Commitment to the Indian Market

“We are proud to support the rapid growth of solar energy in India, where demand for clean, reliable power is accelerating,” said Vikas Bansal, President, International, at GameChange Solar. “Our repeat business from customers highlights the value of our solutions, and with expanded service offerings and local manufacturing, we are in an even stronger position to help drive India’s solar market forward.”

CEO Andrew Worden added, “GameChange Solar’s continued success in India reflects our commitment to innovative technology backed by unmatched local service and support. Our expanded local presence and manufacturing capabilities allow us to meet customer needs faster and more effectively, ensuring that we play a pivotal role in India’s renewable energy future.”

Impact on India’s Solar Sector

The implementation of GameChange Solar’s Genius Tracker™ system in these massive projects significantly contributes to increasing solar energy production in India. The advanced tracking technology enables maximum solar exposure optimization, enhancing efficiency and profitability for photovoltaic installations.

Moreover, the expansion of local production not only reduces delivery times but also logistics costs, which is crucial for large-scale projects. This strategy also strengthens the local economy by creating jobs and promoting skill development in the renewable energy sector.

Future Perspectives

With the continued demand for sustainable energy solutions in India, GameChange Solar is well-positioned to capitalize on this trend. The company plans to further expand its production capacity and invest in research and development to enhance its solar tracking technologies.

The commitment to innovation and customer service will continue to set GameChange Solar apart in a competitive market, ensuring sustained growth and a significant contribution to India’s energy transition.
