Enviromena has commissioned its first British solar farm in Winchester. The 25.4 MW site, called Three Maids Hill, is capable of providing enoughelectricity to power 9,500 homes and offset 6,800 tons of CO2 emissions per year.

Advanced technologies to maximize energy production

The 110-acre site includes 47,088 two-sided modules and features the latest module technology to maximize energy production over the life of the site. Enviromena received planning approval for Three Maids in 2021, making it its first fully permitted development site since entering the European market.

A commitment to renewable energy

The Winchester site will help meet local and national renewable energy targets in the face of rising household energy bills. This is the first of a large portfolio of sites that the Enviromena team will develop, build and manage in the future as it seeks to support the global move to net zero.

Mark Harding, European development director at Enviromena, said Three Maids represents a major milestone in the company’s history. They have proven that their fully integrated development and operations business model and team can successfully develop and safely build renewable projects in major European markets.
