ENGIE and Masdar Complete Financing for 1.5 GW Khazna Solar Park in Abu Dhabi
The French-Emirati consortium finalizes the financial structuring of ENGIE’s largest photovoltaic plant in the world. Located in the United Arab Emirates, the 1.5 gigawatt facility is scheduled to begin commercial operations in 2028.

ENGIE and Masdar, an Emirati player specialized in renewable energy, announce they have reached financial close on the Khazna photovoltaic solar project. With a capacity of 1.5 gigawatts (GW), this plant is located between Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. According to both partners, it is one of the largest solar projects in the region and the largest photovoltaic installation ever developed by the French group.
