Nevados Engineering, Inc. and Energix Renewables have announced a strategic partnership for a long-term collaboration, where Nevados Engineering will provide its all-terrain platform technology as part of a solar tracker supply agreement.
Energix will use Nevados’ U.S.-made solar trackers to minimize land leveling on domestic projects with significant topographic challenges. This partnership will allow Energix to develop solar projects in hard-to-reach areas without the need for costly land leveling.
Energix solar farms will benefit from this collaboration
Energix Renewables currently has more than 6 GW of solar projects in the pipeline in the United States. According to Itamar Sarussi, Country Manager of Energix U.S., the partnership will enable the construction of efficient solar projects that respect the natural landscape and benefit local communities.
The first projects to benefit from this collaboration are three solar farms in Virginia. Two of them are located on hilly terrain in the highly regulated Chesapeake Bay watershed region. This is Apple Grove Solar, a 20 MW solar project in Louisa County, which plans to create a fully functional pollinator garden with local beekeepers on site. The 37 MW Endless Caverns and 25 MW River Trail solar projects are among the first large-scale solar farms located in Rockingham and Carroll counties.
New solar tracker technology from Nevados
Nevados Engineering is a company specialized in solar trackers for photovoltaic plants built on hilly or uneven terrain. It offers an integrated technological platform, composed of innovative all-terrain trackers coupled with a complete software suite. This optimizes the solar performance, improves the reliability of the installation and respects the natural landscape. San Francisco-based Nevados Engineering, backed by institutional capital, is transforming large-scale solar power plant deployment through its solar tracking solutions and partnership approach.
Nevados Engineering’s mission is to implement sustainable solar solutions to preserve the planet for today and tomorrow. According to Yezin Taha, CEO of Nevados Engineering, the company focused its R&D efforts on designing innovative solar trackers that track the terrain and ultimately produced unique flexible bearings, highly sophisticated controls and powerful software that work seamlessly in an integrated platform.
