CS Energy and CVE North America have begun construction of a portfolio of four community solar projects with a total capacity of 22 MW in Western New York.

This strong partnership has resulted in over 50 MW of successful solar power projects

These projects, developed by CVE North America, will use Solar FlexRack solar trackers and are expected to be completed in Q4 2023. The four projects will provide discounted electricity bills to more than 4,000 low- and middle-income residents.

The partnership between CS Energy and CVE North America has already resulted in more than 50 MW of completed solar energy projects. Ben Dereume, CVE North America’s technical director, said they chose CS Energy for this project because of their strong alignment in terms of transparency, integrity and efficiency.

CS Energy has provided exceptional customer service on the last seven projects they have completed together in Massachusetts, from value engineering to overcoming supply chain constraints to assisting with permit and city applications.

These four community solar projects will help maintain New York State as the nation’s leading community solar market. On average, community solar projects in New York City offer a 5-10% reduction in energy bills for local residents. This 22 MW portfolio will benefit thousands of low- and middle-income residents.

Reduced electricity bills for local residents through CS Energy and CVE North America’s community solar projects.

In addition to providing savings to local residents, this portfolio of projects will also contribute to the state’s goal of generating 70 percent of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030 and the governor’s goal of reaching 10 GW of solar by 2030. The projects will also avoid greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to 192,330 miles driven by gasoline cars per year.

CS Energy is a leading renewable energy construction, procurement and engineering company that has successfully designed and installed more than 1.5 GW of solar projects and 470 MWh of energy storage projects in the United States. The company leverages strong relationships with solar developers, IPPs, utilities, lessees, suppliers, and landowners to help clients streamline the project development process, reduce project costs, and create value for all stakeholders as a trusted long-term partner.

As such, the collaboration between CS Energy and CVE North America on these four community solar projects in Western New York will not only provide reduced electricity bills for local residents, but also contribute to the state’s renewable energy goals and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
