Clean Energy Technologies Inc. has signed a letter of intent with Lease Advisory Group to serve as the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for several battery energy storage system projects across New York State. Each site is expected to integrate 5 megawatts (MW) for 20 megawatt-hours (MWh) of storage, combined with rooftop solar and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
Projects deployed across the state
The projects will be rolled out across multiple locations throughout the state, contributing to the expansion of distributed energy storage infrastructure. The systems are designed to generate revenue through New York State’s Value of Distributed Energy Resources (VDER) programme, as well as through ancillary grid services. This programme allows operators to receive compensation for distributed energy generation and storage, based on criteria defined by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
CETY’s central role in execution
Under the agreement, Clean Energy Technologies Inc. will oversee the full EPC scope, including preliminary and detailed engineering, procurement of equipment and materials, as well as construction, testing, and commissioning. The company also commits to compliance with prevailing wage standards, domestic content requirements, and other regulatory obligations.
Strategic expansion of the portfolio
This partnership aligns with Clean Energy Technologies’ strategy to grow its portfolio of advanced clean energy projects. The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Kam Mahdi, stated that the deal reinforces CETY’s growing position as a trusted EPC partner for large-scale battery storage systems. According to him, these projects should place the company at the core of grid modernisation and electrification efforts in the state.
