Cadeler A/S, a company specializing in the installation of offshore wind turbines, has announced the signing of a binding contract with Inch Cape Offshore Limited for the installation of 72 Vestas 15MW wind turbines at the Inch Cape offshore wind farm. The contract, with an estimated value of between 114 and 130 million euros, will start in the fourth quarter of 2026, and illustrates Cadeler ‘s commitment to expanding its portfolio of partners while diversifying its order book. The agreement had been announced in May 2024, but the identity of the customer had not yet been disclosed.
The Inch Cape wind farm, located 15 kilometers off Scotland’s east coast in the North Sea, is set to generate enough energy to power around 1.6 million British homes. To realize this ambitious project, Cadeler will use one of its two new M-class vessels, designed for the installation of wind turbines.

A response to growing demand

Mikkel Gleerup, CEO of Cadeler, said, “This contract once again illustrates the growing demand for our new state-of-the-art vessels and our commitment to expanding our partner portfolio while strengthening our order book. With the recent renewal and continued expansion of our industry-leading fleet of offshore wind installation vessels, Cadeler is ready to meet the dynamic and growing market demand.”
The project is scheduled to last around 249 days, reinforcing Cadeler’s position as a key player in the offshore wind energy sector. This new collaboration with Inch Cape Offshore Limited is part of a series of projects aimed at exploiting the renewable energy potential of the North Sea, a strategic region for offshore wind power in Europe.

Strategic strengthening of the portfolio

The contract with Inch Cape Offshore Limited adds to Cadeler’s recent successes as it continues to invest in advanced technologies and forge strategic partnerships to meet the growing demands of the offshore wind market. The new M-class facilities are designed to offer increased efficiency and reliability, enabling Cadeler to maintain its leading position in a fast-growing sector.
By diversifying its projects and adopting cutting-edge technologies, Cadeler is positioning itself as the partner of choice for wind farm developers looking to maximize their renewable energy production. The collaboration with Vestas for the 15MW wind turbines also underlines Cadeler’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
The contract signed between Cadeler and Inch Cape Offshore Limited for the installation of 72 15MW wind turbines at the Inch Cape wind farm marks a significant step forward for both companies and for the offshore wind sector in general.
