BW Solar announced today that it has finalized the sale of twelve community solar projects to Catalyze, an energy transition company that finances, builds, owns and operates solar and battery storage systems. The transaction involves a combined portfolio of 76.7 MW located in New York State.

Transaction description

The sale includes a group of six pre-construction projects totalling around 38.2 MW and another group of six early development projects totalling around 38.5 MW. All these projects are located in New York State.

Project timetables and objectives

The projects are ready for notification (NTP-ready) and aim to enter commercial service between 2024 and 2025. Catalyze will use its project experience in New York to develop these initiatives, demonstrating its commitment to innovative practices in solar development.

Technical innovation

An example of this innovation is the project scheduled for construction this summer, which will incorporate an all-terrain tracker specially designed to adapt to the challenging characteristics of a steep, undulating hill. This technical approach will minimize the site grading required, thereby reducing construction costs and environmental impact.
