Bureau Veritas has announced the acquisition of three companies operating in the fields of cybersecurity, nuclear, and transition services. These operations aim to broaden the group’s activities in markets considered promising, while consolidating its positions in sectors requiring high technical expertise.

Acquisition in the nuclear sector in Germany
The company has signed an agreement to acquire Dornier Hinneburg, a subsidiary of the Dornier Group based in Germany. Dornier Hinneburg provides technical consulting and radiation protection services, particularly during the dismantling of nuclear facilities. The company employs 108 specialists and recorded revenue of €14mn (USD15.23mn) in 2024. This operation allows Bureau Veritas to extend its services in a segment where demand for expertise remains steady.

Strengthening in Nordic cybersecurity
Bureau Veritas has also reached an agreement to acquire the Institute For Cyber Risk (IFCR), based in Denmark. IFCR operates in governance, risk and compliance (GRC), offensive security, and cybersecurity training. The team includes 25 professionals and generated revenue of €3mn (USD3.27mn) in 2024. This acquisition is part of the group’s strategy to develop its digital activities portfolio.

Deployment in transition services in South Korea
The group has signed an agreement to acquire EcoPlus, a South Korean company active in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) certification. EcoPlus employs 12 engineers and achieved revenue of around €1mn (USD1.09mn) in 2024. This integration enables Bureau Veritas to offer new services in the Asian transition services market.

These transactions mark the expansion of Bureau Veritas’ presence across three regions and several strategic sectors. The acquisitions involve specialised companies with experienced technical teams, positioned in markets where the demand for expertise continues to grow.

Hinda Gharbi, Chief Executive Officer of Bureau Veritas, noted that these acquisitions align with the group’s strategy to structure its business lines around sectors with high technical value.
