Balanced Rock Power and SG Energy: financing agreement

SG Energy is committed to supporting the company’s growth in the U.S. renewable energy sector.
The partnership includes the acquisition of shares in the U.S.-based firm and the financing of its ongoing development activities, as well as a letter-of-credit facility to support the development of projects in the United States.
For this transaction, Lazard Freres represented Balanced Rock Power, while Macquarie Capital represented SG Energy.
The US firm already has a pipeline of projects under development, and the partnership with SG Energy will consolidate the capital needed to further develop the portfolio and the business.
Currently, the U.S.-based company supports an energy portfolio of over 5 GW in service in the United States.
