Arctech is presenting its 2P tracker, SkySmart II, together with its integrated BIPV system, at SNEC 2021.
It has also signed a memorandum of understanding with Rodina to supply 1 GW tracking systems worldwide.
Arctech aims for Western markets
The Ukrainian energy company Rodina is currently the only European company with successful solar energy projects in Eastern Europe.
It has established itself in Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Armenia, Turkey and Kazakhstan.
Thanks to this partnership, Arctech will be able to manage solar projects worldwide, a breakthrough in market expansion.
The agreement stipulates that Arctech will deliver 1 GW trackers for Rodina’s projects on world markets.
Over the next two years, the Chinese company will cover markets in North America, Central Asia and Eastern Europe.
For the time being, the two companies are working on the management of operation and maintenance services for future solar projects.
Arctech 4th worldwide manufacturer of tracking systems
Allen Cao, Arctech’s Managing Director of International Affairs, affirmed a desire “to accelerate the company’s expansion worldwide”.
“We will both leverage each other’s strengths and expertise, and work together to explore other business models”.
By the end of 2020, Arctech had delivered 32 GW of tracking and racking systems to over 1,000 international photovoltaic plants.
Thanks to its extensive sales network, the Chinese solar energy giant had established a presence in some 40 countries.
As a result, the company ranked as the world’s fourth-largest manufacturer of tracking systems four years running from 2017 to 2020.
