Amarenco MENA acquires Spectrum

Spectrum is a market leader in Jordan with several BOT solar projects, while its acquisition by Amarenco MENA reinforces the company's commitment to sustainability and establishes Amarenco Jordan as Amarenco MENA's main platform in the country.

The Jordanian solar market has seen a significant advance with Spectrum’s development and ownership of several Build Operate Transfer (BOT) solar projects for commercial and industrial customers. This success has solidified Spectrum’s position as the market leader in the region. In line with its expansion strategy in Jordan and its commitment to invest in sustainable renewable energy projects, Spectrum was acquired by Amarenco MENA.

Strategic Expansion: Amarenco MENA makes Spectrum its main platform in Jordan

Following the acquisition, Spectrum will be renamed Amarenco Jordan and will become Amarenco MENA’s main platform in Jordan. The company aims to achieve a remarkable 200 MW of solar power capacity. This initiative not only reinforces Amarenco MENA’s commitment to the region, but also highlights its commitment to sustainable development through renewable energy initiatives.

Amarenco Group, an independent solar power producer, was formed in 2018 through the merger of two companies with complementary expertise. The first, Méthode Carré, is a French design and project management company founded in 2008 by Olivier Carré. It specializes in the design of photovoltaic projects and the support of investors interested in the solar sector. The second, Amarenco, was created in 2013 in Ireland by Alain Desvigne and John Mullins. Its main objective is to finance and develop renewable energy infrastructures, particularly in France and Ireland.
