Aker Offshore Wind and its partners are embarking on the development of the the world’s first semi-submersible floating wind farm.

This collaboration agreement covers the tendering, development, construction and operation of offshore wind turbines. The consortium combines five decades of expertise in the North Sea.

Aker and Ocean Winds have joined forces on other projects in the USA, South Korea and Scotland.
With
Statkraft, the Norwegian company established itself in the Sørlige Nordsjø II off the coast of Norway.

With this project, the consortium is developing the first the world’s first semi-submersible floating wind farm. TheUtsira Nord regionis known for its strong, constant winds.
