Adamclisi and Deleni, two onshore wind farms in Romania are the subject of a construction announcement by Rezolv Energy.

More than 2GW of projects

Adamclisi and Deleni will be located in Constanta County, Romania and will have a combined capacity of up to 600MW. In addition, Rezolv Energy announced the 450MW Vis Viva wind farm and the 1044MW Arad solar farm. As a result, the company now has over 2GW of renewable energy projects in advanced development.

The wind farms will share the same grid connection point. Once operational, the wind farms will produce enough energy to power more than 332,000 homes. Thus, the two projects will avoid the emission of about 220,000 tons of CO2 per year.

Third major contract for Rezolv

Adamclisi and Deleni will thus make a significant contribution to the environmental objectives of Romania and the European Union. In addition, Low Carbon has been managing the Adamclisi & Deleni projects since 2020. In addition, Rezolv Energy acquires a 51% stake in the projects.

The acquisition is expected to take place in the second half of 2023. Jim Campion, Managing Director, Rezolv Energy, states:

“Businesses and governments around the world are increasingly driving the adoption of clean, cost-effective and fast-to-build renewable energy. With more than 2 GW of renewables currently under development, we are proud to play a crucial role in diversifying and increasing security of supply, while reducing Central and Eastern Europe’s dependence on non-renewable energy sources.”

Finally, this project is the third major contract for Rezolv Energy since its launch in August 2022.
