Suzlon Develops 402 MW Wind Projects for Juniper Green Energy in Rajasthan

Suzlon Group, a provider of renewable energy solutions in India, has won new contracts to develop 402MW wind power projects for Juniper Green Energy. This project, located in Fatehgarh, Rajasthan, will comprise 134 wind turbines of 3MW each, using Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) technology to optimize performance. These turbines, from the S144-140m series, are designed specifically for Indian wind conditions, guaranteeing maximum efficiency and reduced costs.

Strengthened partnership with Juniper Green Energy

Juniper Green Energy, a long-standing Suzlon customer, continues to choose Suzlon’s advanced technologies and comprehensive capabilities for its renewable energy projects. Girish Tanti, Suzlon’s Vice President, expressed his satisfaction at strengthening this partnership, stressing that these projects contribute to Rajasthan’s vision of providing green energy to its residents. The project is also part of India’s national “Make in India” initiative and supports India’s renewable ambitions.

Environmental and social benefits

The wind power projects in Fatehgarh will supply electricity to around 331,000 homes, while reducing CO2 emissions by 1.3 million tonnes a year. Naresh Mansukhani, CEO of Juniper Green Energy, emphasized the company’s commitment to increasing the reach of renewable energy in India, with a focus on sustainability and reducing energy costs.

Suzlon’s commitment to Innovation and Sustainability

Suzlon uses proven dual-feed induction generator (DFIG) technology to integrate wind turbines efficiently into the power grid. Suzlon’s research and development efforts are aimed at continuously improving turbine performance, harnessing more energy from low-wind sites and reducing energy costs. JP Chalasani, Suzlon’s CEO, said that these repeat orders from Juniper reflect continued confidence in Suzlon’s comprehensive products and services.

With an operational capacity of 20.5GW installed in 17 countries, Suzlon continues to develop its renewable energy industry in India. .
