The Group Infinigen Renewablesa subsidiary of a fund managed by ArcLight Capital Partners, has teamed up with FlexGen Power Systems, Inc. an energy storage systems integrator and software technology provider, to implement a 32 MW solar and 15 MW storage project. in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. This project will increase the reliability and flexibility of the local power grid, by also integrating the increased output of the YFN Yabucoa solar plant.

Adoption of advanced network technologies

To meet the demanding standards of the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, the project will use FlexGen’s HybridOS energy management platform and digital controls, positioning the system among the most advanced in terms of network specifications.

Economic impact and capacity expansion

Leslie Hufstetler, CEO of Infinigen Renewables, said, “This project expands our current fleet in Puerto Rico to over 100 MW.
