A renewed partnership

Derrinlough is located in CountyOffaly in the Irish Midlands. The site will have 21 Vestas EnVentus V150-6.0 MW wind turbines. This model of wind turbine has a hub height of 110 meters.

Bord na Móna’s order for Derrinlough includes the supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines. In addition, both partners announce a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service contract. Juan Furones, vice president of sales for Northern and Central Europe at Vestas, says:

Derrinlough the largest park in Ireland

Bord na Móna with the Derrinlough project was successful in the recent RESS-2 auction. Once installed, it will be the largest wind farm installation in Ireland. In addition, this is the first deployment of the EnVentus V150-6.0 MW technology project for Vestas in Ireland.

Delivery and installation of the wind turbines is scheduled for the first quarter of 2024. Finally, commissioning will take place in the third quarter of 2024.
