A 10-year plan

Brønderslev will be located northeast of Aalborg and will have a capacity of approximately 140MW. This is the second project in the 500MW+ solar project partnership with GreenGo Energy in Denmark. Solar power generation is attractive in Denmark to take advantage of higher solar energy prices during periods of low wind.

The Brønderslev solar park will host bifacial solar modules mounted on single axis trackers. Once completed, it will provide subsidy-free renewable energy directly to an industrial customer. In addition, the initiative is part of a long-term 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA).

A production objective

Mario Schirru, Chief Investment Officer/Chief Operating Officer (CIO/COO) of Encavis AG, says:

“With this major project, we are one step closer to our goal of 500 MW of additional generating capacity this year, with 376 MW currently.

Together with Brønderslev, Encavis AG will have a Danish solar park portfolio of approximately 260MW. In addition, the company owns 230MW in the Netherlands, 300MW in Germany and 500MW in Spain.

In addition, GreenGo Energy has more than 8GW of energy projects in various stages of development. The company is present in some American states and in Northern Europe.
