Sol de Lila, Enel Green Power Chile’s solar park, starts operating. The company has received the necessary authorization. The solar park, located in Chile, has a capacity of 161 MW. All the production will be injected into the country’s electrical system.
Sol de Lila, an ambitious project
Located in the Antofagasta region, in the Atacama Desert, the solar park is defined by its advanced bifacial technology. The park’s solar panels allow for more efficient capture of solar radiation. The authorization to operate this project will allow to evaluate its contribution to the Chilean energy system.

“The construction of Sol de Lila employed approximately 1,260 people, who were responsible for the execution of civil and electrical works, and the installation of 407,400 double-sided monocrystalline solar panels, an advanced technology that allows for greater efficiency in the collection of solar radiation.”
An important contribution to the Chilean energy system
This authorization will allow the Sol de Lila solar park to supply 167,000 Chilean homes each year with its production of approximately 500 GWh. It will avoid the emission of 365,000 tons of CO2.
