Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems A/S has confirmed the signing of seven new contracts in Germany, amounting to a total capacity of 273 megawatts. These agreements involve various regional developers and include long-term maintenance commitments of up to 25 years.

The largest order, with a capacity of 49 MW, was placed by Projekt Projektierungsgesellschaft für regenerative Energiesysteme mbH for the Oldenbroker Feld Niederort site. The project will integrate six V162-7.2 MW turbines and one V150-5.6 MW turbine. Delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027, with commissioning starting in the second quarter.

Projects distributed across several German regions

Windkraft Presen-Burgstaaken GmbH & Co. KG will install seven V162-6.2 MW turbines, totalling 43 MW, at the Presen-Burgstaaken project. JUWI GmbH is also involved through two projects: Arneburg Sanne, with 38 MW, and Reichenbach-Steegen, with 25 MW. For both sites, the company selected V162-series turbines combined with AOM 4000 maintenance contracts lasting 25 and 20 years, respectively.

Iterra energy GmbH committed to two projects located in Frielendorf. The Waltersberg site will install eight V150-6.0 MW turbines for a total of 48 MW. The Dorheim site will add 24 MW with four turbines of the same model. Equipment delivery for these two sites will begin between the first and second quarters of 2027, according to the provided schedule.

Diversification of turbine models and service agreements

The final project, identified as Günstedt 2, was ordered by an undisclosed client. It will combine several turbine models: three V172-7.2 MW, three V162-6.2 MW and one V150-6.0 MW, for a total capacity of 46 MW. Vestas will apply a 20-year AOM 4000 service agreement to this site.

All mentioned projects include service agreements ranging from 20 to 25 years under the AOM 4000 or AOM 5000 programmes, ensuring technical monitoring and optimised performance over time. These commitments are regarded as a key element in securing long-term revenues for operators.
