Chinese group Gushine Electronics has officially inaugurated its lithium battery production site in Hai Phong, northern Vietnam. The launch is part of the global rollout of its manufacturing operations and the strengthening of its supply chain. The 22,000-square-metre site will produce batteries for industrial and commercial applications, with an estimated annual value of $100 mn.
Located between Noi Bai International Airport and Hai Phong Port, the plant benefits from a strategic position for international logistics. This facility enables Gushine to enhance the flexibility of its operations and bring services closer to Southeast Asian markets.
Automated and adaptable production
The site is equipped with automated production lines and smart management systems designed to meet a wide range of performance and technical specification needs. This made-to-order approach aims to increase industrial responsiveness and product quality for global clients.
According to Gushine Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Meng Hui, “the Vietnam base is a key milestone in the group’s international strategy.” He stated that the expansion aims to strengthen supply chain security while supporting growth in overseas markets.
Job creation and regional integration
The plant is expected to employ between 400 and 500 people, primarily in research and development, production, and quality control. The company stated that it will invest in employee training and development to build up local capabilities.
With the facility now operational, Gushine is strengthening its presence in the Asia-Pacific region and increasing its capacity to deliver end-to-end solutions, from design to mass production. This industrial rollout supports the group’s ambition to become a major global player in lithium battery manufacturing.
