Cordelio Power Advances Four Projects into Construction and One into Operations

Cordelio Power, a company specializing in renewable energy, recently announced significant advancements in the development of its energy projects. Four projects are now in the construction phase, while a fifth has been put into commercial operation.

These projects, located across several counties in the United States, demonstrate Cordelio Power’s commitment to energy transition and sustainable development. The company has also secured approximately $1.3 billion in financing for these initiatives, thereby ensuring their completion within the planned timelines.

Projects in Construction

The first project, Crossover, is a 135 MW wind facility located in Cross County, Arkansas. This project aims to harness the wind potential of the region to provide clean and renewable energy. Winfield, a 150 MW AC solar project in Lincoln County, Missouri, represents another key step for Cordelio Power, further consolidating its presence in the solar sector.

Box Canyon, a 300 MW AC solar project located in Pinal County, Arizona, is 50% owned by BrightNight. This strategic collaboration allows for the pooling of resources and expertise to optimize solar energy production. Finally, the McHenry project, a 20 MW / 40 MWh battery energy storage system located in McHenry County, Illinois, illustrates the company’s commitment to advanced storage technologies.

Project in Commercial Operations

Moraine Sands, a 165 MW wind project located in Mason County, Illinois, has reached the stage of commercial operation. This achievement marks an important milestone for Cordelio Power, demonstrating the viability and effectiveness of its energy projects. The company anticipates that all construction projects will reach full operation by the first half of 2025, subject to the completion of 15- or 20-year power purchase agreements.

Financing and Partnerships

The completion of $1.3 billion in financing for these five projects reflects investors’ confidence in Cordelio Power’s strategy. The company is collaborating with leading contractors such as Mortenson, Blattner, Qcells, and Pepper Energy to successfully execute these projects. These strategic partnerships are crucial to ensure the quality and timeliness of project implementation.

Future Perspectives

Furthermore, Cordelio Power is preparing for the future with new interconnections filed this year totaling over 6,000 MW of wind projects and 2,500 MW of storage projects in the MISO and Pacific Northwest power markets. This expansion underscores the company’s ambition to continue providing solid business opportunities to the communities it serves while significantly contributing to the overall energy transition.
