Aquarius Engines unveils a new 100% hydrogen engine that can be used as a generator or for electric vehicles.
A lightweight, low-cost technology that should compete with hydrogen fuel cells and fossil fuels.

Aquarius Engines unveils its lightweight, low-cost hydrogen engine

Aquarius Engines unveils its new hydrogen engine, which weighs just 10 kg.
It is based on the same technology as the single linear piston engine patented by the company in 2014.
Unlike other engines made up of a hundred parts, theAquarius model requires little maintenance.
In fact, it comprises just 20 components and a single moving part.
Its design is therefore much lighter and less costly than that of traditional motors.

Successful tests

Before unveiling this innovation, Aquarius had its technology tested by a third party.
The Austrian company AVL-Schrick, a world leader in engineering, carried out the tests, which proved conclusive.
Slightly modified, the original Aquarius engine can now run onhydrogen.

Used as an electricity generator or to power vehicles

This technology could be used as an on-board energy generator in a vehicle, or as a stand-alone electricity generator.
For Gal Fridman, President of Aquarius Engines, it’s a way of helping to reduce the world’s carbon footprint:

“It appears that our hydrogen engine […] is an affordable, green and sustainable technology. A way to meet the challenges posed by global transportation and remote power generation.”

At a time when governments want to limit the use of fossil fuels, Aquarius has decided to bet on hydrogen to power its engines.
