ACWA Power, a world leader in energy and water desalination, has just signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Indonesian state-owned company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) (PLN) for the development of a 60 MW floating solar farm in Saguling, Indonesia.
This project, a first for ACWA Power, is a key element in its diversification strategy in Southeast Asia.
The Saguling Floating Solar PV project is designed to meet Indonesia’s growing demand for renewable energy, while also meeting the country’s decarbonization objectives.
With a 49% stake, ACWA Power is joining forces with Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of PLN, which holds the remaining 51%, to ensure the success of this initiative.
