Suzlon Group recently announced the securing of a new order for a 103.95 MW wind power project for AMPIN Energy Transition Private Limited. The project will be located in the Fatehgarh district of Rajasthan, and will involve the installation of 33 wind turbines, each rated at 3.15 MW, using Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) towers. This initiative is part of the hybrid projects under various calls for tender by SECI (Solar Energy Corporation of India) and commercial and industrial (C&I) customers. The wind turbines ordered belong to Suzlon’s 3 MW product series, in particular the S144-140m model. These turbines use dual-feed generator (DFIG) technology, which enables efficient integration into the power grid. This technology is optimized to extract more energy from low-wind sites while reducing energy costs. Suzlon will not only supply the equipment, but will also be responsible for project execution, including erection and commissioning, as well as post-commissioning maintenance services.

Strategic Partnership

JP Chalasani, CEO of Suzlon Group, expressed his satisfaction at this collaboration with AMPIN Energy Transition, a leading energy transition platform and independent power producer (IPP) in India. He stressed that this order testifies to AMPIN’s continued confidence in Suzlon’s technology and services, which is crucial for major projects such as Rajasthan. Vivek Srivastava, CEO of Suzlon’s Business India, added that this order is part of a larger hybrid project arising from SECI tenders and the needs of commercial and industrial customers. He affirmed Suzlon’s commitment to supporting the growth of Indian industry with sustainable energy solutions, while promoting the “Make in India” and “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” initiatives.

Economic and strategic impact

The 103.95 MW Fatehgarh project represents a strategic step forward for Suzlon and AMPIN Energy Transition. It meets the growing demand for reliable, cost-effective energy for commercial and industrial customers. This partnership strengthens Suzlon’s position in the Indian renewable energy market and enables AMPIN Energy Transition to expand its power generation capacity. Suzlon’s ongoing R&D efforts are committed to improving turbine performance and reducing energy costs, while meeting grid requirements. Every Suzlon turbine is made in India, supporting the local economy and national economic development initiatives.

Future Perspective

This hybrid wind project marks a significant step forward for both companies, reflecting their commitment to the expansion of renewable energies in India. By strengthening their collaboration, Suzlon and AMPIN Energy Transition are playing a key role in transforming India’s energy landscape towards a more stable and profitable future.
