The promoter, sponsor and sole shareholder of this project is WPD. It has particular experience in the development and operation of wind farms.

The financing granted to WPD supports the wishes of KfW IPEX-Bank. The latter wishes to support the energy transition through the support given to its customers. The bank confirms its support for the development of renewable energy projects.

In this regard, Velibor Marjanovic, Member of the Board of Directors of KfW IPEX-Bank, states:

“After all, wherever in the world the use of renewable energy is growing, which has a proven positive impact on the global climate. To do this, we need to rely on modern and reliable technologies, such as turbines, which are capable of producing green energy even under difficult conditions.”

Long-standing cooperation between WPD and KfW IPEX-Bank

This is not the first time WPD and KfW IPEX-Bank have worked together. In fact, Stölésäterberget is their 4th joint operation in Scandinavia. This project allows WPD to further develop in the main European markets. This while supporting ecological and sustainable development.

To date, KfW IPEX-Bank’s onshore project portfolio in Scandinavia amounts to approximately 2 GW of cumulative capacity. The financing it provides is all for the protection of the climate and the environment.

WPD wants to be able to meet the growing demand for renewable energy. Thus, the company sees the need to increase global capabilities for large-scale decarbonization.

WPD’s strategy is reflected in the development of new projects but also in the assiduous search for cooperation. This allows them to develop projects all over the world. Therefore, the expansion of the company involves collaboration with a wide range of actors in all areas of project development. These range from financing to construction.
