Energy Renewal and Ecological Commitment

As part of this visit, the meeting with Shanghai Fengling Renewable and Zijin, a major investor in Serbia, focused on expanding investment in green energy. The planned construction of a hybrid power plant symbolizes a growing commitment to the production of electricity from renewable sources. This initiative promises to cover almost all of Zijin’s electricity needs, while significantly reducing harmful gas emissions. It also aims to produce a significant quantity of green hydrogen for export.

Improved infrastructure and connectivity

Discussions with representatives of CCCC and CRBC, who are involved in major infrastructure projects in Serbia, focused on progress and deadlines for current projects, as well as future investments. The meeting underlines the Serbian government’s determination to strengthen infrastructure, with CCCC marking China’s entry into the Serbian infrastructure market.

Technological advances and economic contribution

The dialogue with Huawei, which has been present in Serbia for 18 years, reflects the depth of the technological ties between the two countries. Huawei, which employs over 200 people and has paid more than 40 million euros in taxes to the Serbian budget over the past three years, has positioned itself as a key player in the ICT sector.
