The national strategy aims to develop four key sectors – industry, logistics, energy and mining – by building world-class supply chains, expanding industrial activities, encouraging trade and enabling exports, and cultivating a culture of innovation and know-how.

The mining and industrial potential of Al-Ahsa

In line with these growth objectives, significant opportunities in the mining and industrial sectors exist in Al-Ahsa, located in eastern Saudi Arabia. Currently, the region has 224 valid mining licenses and 12 mining centers, making it a crucial contributor to the Kingdom’s mining sector. With its strategic location, Al-Ahsa governorate is one of the most competitive regions in the Kingdom, home to many industries including energy, industry, mining and logistics services. Al-Ahsa is also building the Kingdom’s capacity in agriculture, trade and services.

Strengthening the industrial base of Al-Ahsa

As a testament to Al-Ahsa’s growing industrial base, the Saudi Industrial Cities and Technology Authority has 300 factories located in its Modon Free Zone.

In conclusion, with 212 industrial investment opportunities and growing potential in the mining and industrial sectors, Al-Ahsa is positioned as a key region for the Kingdom’s economic growth, while supporting the achievement of Vision 2030 goals.
