Rose des Vents, an onshore wind farm project, will benefit from the collaboration between VALOREM and Société Énergie Mayenne.

Completion scheduled for the end of 2023

Rose des Vents is a wind farm located in Fontaine-Couverte, in the Pays de la Loire region, whose construction will begin in 2023. The project will have a total power of 9MW. In addition, Société Énergie Mayenne will contribute financially to the wind power project by allocating €400,000.

Énergie Mayenne, a semi-public company, aims to support and accelerate the department’s energy transition. While guaranteeing that these projects are managed by the local authorities and their groups, SEM wishes to involve the citizens. Moreover, the company is composed of 7 shareholders, including Territoire d’énergie Mayenne.

A project launched in 2017

Thierry Haas, manager of the VALOREM Loire-Bretagne agency, declares:

“We are delighted with this collaboration between our group and Société Énergie Mayenne. It attests to the support of local elected officials, who have been involved in the project from the outset, and to VALOREM’s commitment to the regions. These commitments were recently reaffirmed in our recent change of status to become a company with a mission, and in our raison d’être: To enhance the energies of the territories together, to pave the way for a sustainable and united future.”

The Rose des Vents wind farm will consist of 3 wind turbines. Thus, the site will be able to produce more than 18,000 MWh per year.

This power is equivalent to 22% of the annual residential electricity consumption of the inhabitants of the Community of Communes of the Pays de Craon. Launched in 2017, the development of this project obtained its prefectural approval in June 2022. In addition, Rose des Vents will be commissioned by the end of 2023.
