Respect Energy Holding announces plans for a floating wind farm off the coast of Estonia. The project includes pilot deployment ofhydrogen and ammonia foundation technology on floating wind turbines. The planned investment, with a total capacity of up to 820 MW, will be established in the wind energy innovation zone off the coast of Estonia. The floating offshore wind farm is scheduled to be operational in 2032, producing 3.75 TWh of energy annually.

A commitment to renewable energy

After submitting the application, we begin a multi-stage process to build an innovative offshore farm off the coast of Estonia. Thanks to their unique technology, floating offshore wind turbines will represent the future of the offshore wind energy industry in the coming years.

Collaboration and partnerships

After announcing our plans to invest in the world’s largest offshore wind farm in Australia, Respect Energy Holding is delighted to present another major offshore project. We have already received preliminary connection conditions and signed cooperation agreements with Estonian partners, which will enable us to set up a local supply chain – stresses Sebastian Jabłoński, Chairman of the Board of Respect Energy Holding.

Respect Energy Holding to develop the floating offshore wind farm project, in collaboration with BaltiConnect. The latter is a professional offshore project development company. Respect Energy Holding has also signed cooperation agreements with: the Port of Tallinn – cooperation on the use of port infrastructure needed to support the production, assembly and operation of the farm; Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) – cooperation on research and development and educational programs, and LTH-Baas – a world-leading Estonian cruise ship building and offshore engineering company that will provide innovative solutions, including a floating wind hydrogen production platform.
