NovaWind is installing the wind turbines of the Kuzminskaya wind farm in the Stavropol Krai. Russia is thus developing its renewable energies. However, fossil fuels are still very important to the country’s economy.

The installation of wind turbines has started at the Kuzminskaya wind farm in the Stavropol Krai. A total of 64 wind turbines with a capacity of 2.5 MW each will be installed on the site. With a total capacity of 160 MW, the wind farm is expected to produce 378 million kWh of electricity per year.

The Kuzminskaya wind farm

The Kuzminskaya wind farm employs over 180 workers and engineers. As well as more than 40 construction machines. The work is being carried out in two shifts to assemble and install the tower sections of the wind turbines at three sites simultaneously.

Meanwhile, wind turbine components continue to be delivered to the construction sites from the centralized storage facilities in Nevinnomyssk and Kursavka, to be used in assembly and installation work.
The Stavropol Krai is a key region for NovaWind in terms of wind energy projects. Currently, there are four wind farms operating in the region.

We find then: the wind farm Kochubeevskaya (210 MW) and the wind farm Karmalinovskaya (60 MW). As well as the Bondarevskaya wind farm (120 MW) and the Medvezhenskaya wind farm (60 MW). Construction and installation works have been completed at the Berestovskaya wind farm (60 MW). While the Trunovskaya wind farm (95 MW) is under construction.
