Niinimäki, an onshore wind farm in Finland has just been sold between OX2 and the Finnish energy company Helen .
A 145MW wind farm
Niinimäki, the wind farm sold to Helen and the Wind Power Fund of the Bank of Åland will include a set of 22 turbines. Thus, it will have a total installed capacity of 145MW. OX2 begins construction of the Niinimäki wind farm.
As such, the company is expected to complete the project by the end of 2024. The wind farm will have a production capacity of 400GWh. Thus, this production is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of about 8,000 homes.
A diversified portfolio
OX2 develops, builds and sells onshore and offshore wind farms. The company markets photovoltaic solar parks. OX2 also offers management of wind and solar farms after their completion.
OX2’s project development portfolio includes internally developed wind and solar projects as well as projects acquired at various stages of development. The company is also developing projects based on other renewable energy technologies such as hydrogen and energy storage. Finally, once operational, OX2 will be responsible for the technical and commercial management of the Niinimäki wind farm for 15 years.
