Minesto doubles its production capacity with the successful installation of a second project in the Faroe Islands.
A complementary project
Minesto says it is completing the installation of additional offshore infrastructure at Vestmannasund in the Faroe Islands. Thus, the company announces to double the electricity production of two Dragon 4 tidal power plants (100 kW). Indeed, the installation includes a second realization, a submarine cable and a land interface.
The underwater infrastructure is operational for the installation of a second kite and the production of electricity. In addition, the installations were carried out using small vessels with experienced partners. Thus, the objective is to further reduce the costs of installation and marine operations for large-scale development.
