Limekiln, a UK onshore wind project of Infinergy UK, will be equipped with Vestas V136-4.5 MW turbines.
20-year service contract for Limekiln
Limekiln will be a 108MW wind farm from Infinergy UK. The order from Vestas includes the supply, installation and commissioning of 24 turbines. The wind turbines will have a peak height of 150 meters.
In addition, the two partners announced the signing of a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service contract. Juan Furones, vice president of sales for Northern and Central Europe at Vestas, says:
“Vestas is proud to be working with Infinergy for the first time in the UK, and we are delighted to once again supply the V136-4.5 MW for the UK market.”
In addition, Vestas will contribute to the UK’s Net-Zero ambitions by equipping Limekiln.

Limekiln is located approximately 21 kilometers west of Thurso. Indeed, the future wind farm will be erected in the Scottish Highlands. In addition, the delivery and installation of the wind turbines would take place in the second quarter of 2024.
