Egypt Imports LNG in Response to Gas Supply Shortage
Egypt has received a rare cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at its Ain Sukhna terminal in the Red Sea, following a shortage of Israeli gas supplies that has caused prolonged power cuts in the country in recent weeks.

Egypt is usually an LNG exporter, but this time it was forced to look for alternative sources due to the dwindling supply of Israeli gas. Available information indicates that Egypt rarely imports LNG, the last recorded shipment being 60,000 metric tons in July.
