This park will be located in the municipality of Calvos de Randín (Ourense) where the company will install the machines. The areas of Os Blancos and Baltar (Ourense) also integrate the Lamas II project. In addition, with a production of 47,334 MWH/year, it will avoid 15,513 tons of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.

Lamas II will provide energy equivalent to the consumption of 11,000 families. The public information announces three 5MW wind turbines with a hub height of 127.5 meters and a rotor diameter of 145 meters. In addition, the documentation contains the corresponding environmental impact assessment.

Environmental studies

In the reports, the Lamas II project does not affect the areas delimited by the Galician network of protected areas and the Natura 2000 network. A pre-operational study concludes that this sector is not of particular ornithological interest. In addition, there is no specific migratory corridor in this area.

All areas affected during construction will be revegetated. The flora species will be planted as the work progresses. In addition, an archaeological report will intervene.

The report will develop monitoring measures and a precautionary zone. Indeed, only one element is present in the inventory: Fonte da Cunca. Finally, the potential impact remains minimal due to the protective measures carried out during construction.
