In Ercot, Texas, USA, Greenalia announces the acquisition of three solar farms totaling 502MWp.
Multiple acquisitions
In Ercot Greenalia acquires the projects Donegal Solar, Leitrim Solar and Roscommon Solar. The various projects are located in Dickens County, Hill County and Lamar County, respectively. All three projects are at an advanced stage of development with an expected COD date of early 2025.
Donegal Solar has the largest capacity with 265 MWp. The capacity of Leitrim Solar amounts to 119MWp. Finally, Roscommon Solar has 118MWp.
Growth in the United States
Manuel Garcia, the CEO of Greenalia, states:
“We are delighted to acquire these high-quality solar projects. This acquisition is an important step in solidifying our strategic plan, which has the U.S. as a key focus.”
Greenalia, which started its activity in the United States two years ago. The company was acquiring a renewable energy company with a 695MWp portfolio of ready-to-build (RTB) photovoltaic panels in 2021. In addition, Greenalia was acquiring more than 385MW of battery storage.
This year, 4 new solar installations have been added to this portfolio. In fact, Grennalia developed Wensowitch, Ratcliff, Reis and Wittig, totaling 451MW. Thus, with the acquisitions at Ercot, Greenalia’s U.S. solar pipeline now totals nearly 1.7GW.
