GOLDBECK SOLAR and GP JOULE Group announce that the former has acquired the latter's PV-EPC business unit in North America.

GOLDBECK SOLAR and the GP JOULE Group announce that GOLDBECK SOLAR has acquired GP JOULE’s PV-EPC business unit in North America.

It is now the sole shareholder of the two North American companies: GP JOULE PV Canada Corp and GP JOULE PV USA Inc.

With this acquisition, GOLDBECK SOLAR strengthens its position in the Americas, having existing operations in Chile and Mexico. The purchase includes the acquisition of the entire GP JOULE EPC NA team. As well as the use of the local brand for a limited time.

More growth expected in North America

The acquisition is the next natural step in GOLDBECK SOLAR’s growth strategy. After investing in a portfolio of projects in Canada earlier this year, the company has shown strong interest in designing and building solar power plants in North America, as it has done successfully for more than 20 years in Europe, Asia and South America.

GP JOULE PV Canada Corp and GP JOULE PV USA Inc were subsidiaries of the GP JOULE group. The company has over 200 MWp of projects built in North America over the past 10 years.

GP JOULE EPC NA specializes in serving utilities and C&I customers. Founded in 2011, the company is headquartered in Toronto. She has also been in Calgary since 2016. It has more recently established a location in Halifax in 2022. Its US satellite office is located in Los Gatos, California.
