Gesip gives France Hydrogène the benefit of its expertise in sharing feedback and analyzing accidentology. Thus, Gesip accompanies France Hydrogène in its structuring in terms of safety and risk control. In addition, they will evolve the regulatory framework applicable to the transport of hydrogen in gas pipelines.

Gesip and France Hydrogène will develop guides associated with these new uses. France Hydrogen will provide its expertise on the needs in skills and training. Thus, the two partners will develop specific training courses on hydrogen risk and on the safety of industrial sites.

Enactment of regulations

France Hydrogen will accompany Gesip in its information cycle on new energies. Thus, Gesip and France Hydrogen will define the conditions of access to industrial hydrogen vehicle sites. Philippe Boucly, President of France Hydrogène, says:

“The hydrogen industry is booming, factories are being built, massive hydrogen production projects are being set up and distribution stations are being deployed in the regions. The industry is paying close attention to risk management to ensure safe deployment. This collaboration is one of the means to achieve this ambition.”

France Hydrogène brings together the industries of the French hydrogen sector. Currently, the association, created in 2022, has 470 members, including major companies such as Air Liquide, EDF and TotalEnergies. In addition, the association includes research centers and local authorities.

Gesip seeks to improve industrial safety. The organization includes about 60 members from sectors such as gas, oil and chemicals. It has 2 sites in France: Vernon and Roussillon.
