EVE Energy, a Chinese manufacturer of batteries and storage systems, has signed a three-year memorandum of understanding with Swedish integrator Vimab BESS AB to deploy 1.48 GWh of energy storage projects in Northern Europe. The agreement was signed during the GENERA trade fair in Madrid, with a first delivery scheduled for December.

A structuring partnership for the Nordic market

This partnership responds to the growing needs of the Nordic market, which is facing increased electrification and the intermittency of renewable energy sources such as wind and solar. EVE Energy will supply high-performance storage batteries as well as associated system solutions and technical components tailored to the region’s specific requirements.

The collaboration builds on an existing relationship between the two companies, strengthened by a confirmed initial order. Aleksandra Kostic, Chief Executive Officer of Vimab DOO, a subsidiary of Vimab BESS AB, stated that the Nordic storage market is now entering a phase of “diversified value creation”, underlining the importance of delivery capabilities and EVE Energy’s technical reliability.

Local presence to support growth

EVE Energy relies on its German office to strengthen local responsiveness and provide solutions suited to European climatic and technical constraints. The manufacturer highlights systems with high energy density, an intelligent Battery Management System (BMS), and proven resilience in extreme conditions.

The company also confirmed it will provide Vimab BESS AB with full support from delivery to installation, operation, and maintenance of the storage systems. This integrated approach aims to meet increasing market expectations in terms of safety, reliability, and performance.

Industrial rollout and localisation strategy

This memorandum of understanding marks a new step in EVE Energy’s localisation strategy, which seeks to expand its European operations through targeted alliances. The company aims to leverage regional partners to tailor its solutions to local market demands while accelerating its production and service capacity on the continent.

Jimmy Ye, European Sales Director at EVE Energy, stated that this cooperation reflects a shared commitment to strengthening reliable storage offerings in the European market. The company is continuing to deploy its “Global Manufacturing, Global Cooperation, Global Service” model while pursuing new partnerships across the sector.
