EDPR launches a crowdfunding project in Italy for the construction of a wind farm in Campania.

Thus, the crowdfunding project “ENERGY TOGETHER. The renewable energy tour in Italy” foresees the construction of clean energy plants. In addition, she wants the citizens of local communities to be actors in the energy transition. This, while allowing them to invest in the construction of these infrastructures.

Renewable energy for local development

EDPR has chosen the Company to develop its project resulting from the fundraising. The latter will be composed of 6 wind turbines and located in Casalbore. These will have a total capacity of 28.8 MW.

The park will produce 65,000 MWh per year, which corresponds to the energy consumed in 22,000 households. At the same time, the park’s production will save 90,000 barrels of oil per year.

Thus, the EDPR project favors the local community. In fact, it will allow citizens to invest in the development of renewable energy with a rate of return favorable to residents. 6% per year for the citizens of Casalbore, 5% for the citizens of neighboring municipalities and 4.5% for all other Italian citizens.

Moreover, the investments must be between 200 € and 10.000€. The duration of the fundraising campaign is 48 months. In the end, EDPR would like to obtain at best €500,000.

In fact, the residents of Casalbore, Benevento and the neighboring municipalities were the first to be able to invest. They were able to take advantage of their place of choice on September 5. Then, from September 26 to the end of October, the campaign will be extended to the rest of Italy.

EDPR wants to make its projects accessible

During the presentation of the campaign EDPR will be physically present. In fact, stands will be set up and teams will be on hand to present the activities in the different areas. This is done because the company wants to facilitate access to information for residents.

This approach is part of EDPR’s commitment to accessibility. The company is committed to social progress and emphasizes the need for sustainability and integration in its projects. Therefore, the initiative corresponds to EDPR’s expectations allowing the local authority to invest at favorable conditions in the development of renewable energy in Italy.
