In Dagestan, the construction of the Makhachkalinskaya onshore wind farm is the result of the cooperation between NovaWind and EcoEnergy Group.
A partnership with Rosatom
In Dagestan, NovaWind (Rosatom’s wind power division) and EcoEnergy Group signed an agreement to build a 12.5MW wind farm. The two companies have agreed to join forces in design engineering. The construction of the wind power plant is expected to take place in 2023.
The wind farm will consist of five wind turbines with a capacity of 2.5MW each. NovaWind will produce the wind farm equipment at its plant in the Rostov region. However, it will also mobilize the help of national subcontractors.
A unifying project
EcoEnergy Group, through one of its subsidiaries in the Novolaksky district of the Republic of Dagestan, will develop the Makhachkalinskaya wind farm project. It will be the first wind power plant in the region to be part of a larger Caspian wind farm. It will provide sustainable energy to local consumers.
NovaWind CEO Grigoriy Nazarov says:
