A.S., a major player in the solar energy sector, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to integrate advanced storage technologies into several solar projects.
This initiative aims to develop hybrid solar project models in Turkey, the USA and Europe, to achieve a combined storage capacity of 1GW over the next five years.

Partnership objectives and scope

The agreement focuses on the co-development and construction of long-term energy storage solutions in colocation with Schmid Pekintas’ solar projects, pre-licensed for a capacity of 540MW in Turkey.
The collaboration will also extend to the USA, notably California, New Mexico and Texas, as well as to Southern Europe.
The aim is to provide stable, reliable green energy 24 hours a day, and to enhance grid stability through essential reliability services such as synchronous inertia.

Assessments and Projections

The two companies will evaluate the implementation of storage solutions in new and existing solar projects, targeting a deployment capacity of 200 to 500MW.
This approach aims to create a scalable and cost-effective model for co-located solar and energy storage projects, guaranteeing a continuous and reliable energy supply while supporting the global energy transition.
