Axpo Iberia signs PPA for Cuenca wind farm

The PPA signed by Axpo Iberia concerns a wind farm under construction in the Spanish province of Cuenca.
The company will also provide representation services to Azora Capital.
These include infrastructure installation for the duration of the contract.
Construction of the 104.5 MW wind farm began in January 2021.
Operations are scheduled to begin in April 2022.
Azora Capital is already established in Spain and has an international presence in Europe and the United States.
To expand, the company is focusing on investment and asset management.

1 GW of renewable energy in Spain

The company is independent and manages arenewable energy portfolio of over 1 GW in Spain.
It has assets in operation, under construction or under development.
The company intends to expand its presence in Spain and promote the development of renewable energies in the country.

“I’m sure that the signing of this agreement with Azora marks the start of a mutually beneficial relationship, with the possibility of new opportunities in the renewable energy sector,” comments Ignacio Soneria, Managing Director of Axpo Iberia.

Axpo Iberia supports the development of renewable energies in Spain and Portugal through a number of initiatives.
These include, for example, a wide range of customer solutions for long-term energy management.
By facilitating access to long-term renewable energies, the company enables consumers to achieve their sustainability objectives.
This strategy has enabled Axpo Iberia to gain a strong foothold in the sector.
Since January 2021, it has already negotiated more than 7 TWh of long-term energy contracts.
